Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

A plane ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.

"The jet landed based on established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, including Pete Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson stated in a social media post.

He was traveling back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital at the time.

This event is not the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a senior official has suffered mechanical issues.

Months ago, a US Air Force plane transporting the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was compelled to turn back to Washington after suffering a mechanical fault.
