Tehran reports attacking a US naval base in Bahrain, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in response for a large-scale and ongoing offensive against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity in the area of the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any destruction is not yet known and the United States has yet to issue a statement.

Regional Interceptions

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - stated they have shot down missiles in their airspace.

In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the region.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was targeting US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the attack on Iran launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.

That US-Israeli operation - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck sites associated with the the regime, with President Trump calling on the people of Iran to revolt against the regime.

Regional Fallout

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military said it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates stated that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems engaged the projectiles with notable success and destroyed a series of missiles," it added.

It said wreckage landed in a populated district in Abu Dhabi, causing some property damage and killing a civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
