The standout role-playing game by Sandfall Interactive won the esteemed Top Game award, along with prizes for Superb Storytelling and Top Visual Design. Adding to the developer's achievements, the skilled actors also were honored with personal awards. Jennifer English received Outstanding Lead Performance for her performance as Maelle, while Ben Starr won Supporting Performance Award for his role as Verso. Additionally, Sandfall Interactive itself was named Best Development Team. In total, Clair Obscur and its developers won seven awards during the ceremony. Other standout winners featured Ghost of Yōtei, which won Outstanding Audio and Console Game of the Year, and Hollow Knight: Silksong, honored with Top Self-Published Indie and Best PC Game. Worth mentioning, the majority of Golden Joystick Awards are chosen by the gamers, with only four awards—Critics’ Choice, Rising Star, Hall of Fame inductee, and Streamer Selection—determined by reviewers.
